This is absolutely deplorable....where's the respect? I say it's time to bring home our troops to be with their families. We just cannot afford any more of these illegal wars.

Our country constantly treats military members this way, simply uses them up and spits them out. They aren't fighting for our country anyhow, simply for corporate interests to plunder another nation for its assets. This is exactly why I told my son I would not support him if he went into the military. My son will not be "human resource material" for corporate profits, no way, no how. The origins of public schooling was to raise soldiers for the state, remains the same today. Our Dept of Labor sets the educational goals to produce, and I quote, "human resource material".
I remember when my son graduated from high school and oh boy did the recruiters chase after him. Phone calls, free tee shirts and hats, movie tickets. Oh brother!! I was so upset that the school gave out his address and phone number. I looked into it and found out that the law defaults to this information being given to recruiters unless you sign a form at the school to opt-out. So our kids are opted in without the parent's consent, UGH.
Another curious thing, ever wonder why there are so many recruiting offices right by Walmart? A lot of poor people shop at Walmart and they know those kids don't have a lot of options so the recruiters chase down the poor kids. Shameful, shameful and shameful.
