After all, it won't hurt it to sit refrigerated for a day or two anyway.
I just remember it taking 2 days..... sitting on a counter in water (and changing out the water many times) when I was growing up. Knew it would take longer just sitting in a fridge and started to freak out that I might not get it thawed in time.

if u are deep frying it please make sure its fully defrosted or it will be horrid
