We've got an Aldi's opening up nearby, and was wondering what products you can recommend.

Thank you. 1|1|I buy baking supplies, flour, sugar, sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk etc also canned and frozen veggies, milk, eggs. |dlpavitt|dlpavitt@att.net|18:06:06|11/29/2011|

If you are a HONEST trader, there is nothing to fear in having a feedback link. If you do not have one, please set one up, BEFORE contacting me for a trade. If you insist on not having a feedback link, please do not contact me to trade. Feedback links protect all of us, on RS. Thanks for understanding. the Fit and Active Chicken Broth, Strawberry Lemonade, Chocolate Fudge Cream Bars, Wildberry Sorbet Bars and their brand of Smart Ones that are called Fit and Active also and these are so much cheaper than name brand and taste the same to me.

The pineapples, squash, zucchini and red, green and yellow peppers are very good and fresh at my store.

I buy something different every week and we just got a new store close to us that has been open 3 weeks and I really like it 3|1|I like their tortilla chips|bluh2oeyes|bluh2oeyes@yahoo.com|18:47:13|11/29/2011|

they don't take coupons - but very rarely even carry name brand products anyway. They don't take checks or credit cards but take debit cards and food stamp cards and of course, cash. You have to buy their bags or bring your own or find an empty box on the shelf. Also, bring a quarter to put into the shopping card slot or you won't have a cart.

I haven't found anything that was not good - but don't buy any meat there at all because we live on a farm and have our own meat - beef anyway.

I have an Aldi coupon for $5 off $30 for their Grand Opening !!!

The space this new store is occupying is a former big supermarket, so my guess is that
the selection should be pretty extensive given the large footprint. I've seen a lot of videos
on the "Aldi Shopping Experience", and all the comments/reviews I've read are very mixed.

I have my aluminum "Cart-Quarter" ready and am set to go see for myself. << >> 17|2|Go check it out Ted..I just got back with a ton of goodies|pattyo|pattyolc@aol.com|03:36:40|12/01/2011|

I roasted a turkey breast a few weeks ago. It was wonderful - stayed nice and moist. No waste and no leftovers!

I have a list of items I buy there regularly. The frozen breaded chicken strips are great too..we eat them alone or often cook and then cut up for chicken in a salad. Frozen whole turkey breast..yum!...peppers are cheap there as well. We like homemade fajitas and I always get my colored peppers there. I can get a BIG bag of smaller yellow, orange & red peppers for like $3.99 and that is the cost for THREE regular size peppers in any other store around here. My Aldi's produce for the 2 stores I frequent always have good produce so am lucky with that. Other items that I buy that are great there although some I only buy seasonal/occasionally:

fresh artisian bread
Donuts/danish/rolls
frozen cheesecake
block cheese/grated cheese/cheese slices/cream cheese
take & bake pizza (can't beat those HUGE pizzas for only like $6!)
soups
salads/all kinds of produce
trash bags (I ONLY buy Aldi's now..cheap & better than name brand..large black bags)
fresh flowers they always have are cheap and last quite a long while so I splurge on them on rare occasions
seasonings/grinders/sugar/baking items
juices/flavored waters and always buy daughter's drink ..like V8 stuff w/ veggies & fruit in it there
rice..reg & instant
like Buddig meats/turkey ham/sliced turkey for sandwiches
yogurt/cottage cheese/whipped cream/eggs/cinnamon rolls (like Pillsbury types)
much more but these are just some things I can think of.

I also bought the *specials* they have with items..like electric grill, blood pressure cuff, ear thermometer and friend even bought her daughter's walker there. All have worked great and got them at a great price..MUCH cheaper than could have been bought elsewhere!
