I don't really care to be picking pine needles out of the carpet for the next 6 mos. Have enough as it is from the monster pines that are outside. :( So.... I bought a fiber optic tree a couple yrs. ago & am happy w/that. I burn candles that are either Pine scented or Christmas Tree scented. Works out good. :)

pick the needles out of the carpet for months afterwards and the fire hazard is another issue as well. Sooo we have had a artificial tree (prelit) for a number of years now. I always put on bubble lights as well. I also remember them as a kid & was so fascinated by them as well. They disappeared for several yrs. so I was pretty tickled when they came back. I put one set up in my picture window but haven't yet figured out where to put the other set. LOL

ago...so that is what we use. It is nice. But not the same as real.
Real looks better, and has the christmas smell. But can't afford to

I do love a real tree. When we lived in WI, we could cut our own real tree for 1.00, it was on state property, and that was all it cost for the permit. Of course that was many years ago, and they are so high here.

Between being allergic to pine scent, pine oils, pine anything (Pine-Sol is even banned in this house), having 4 cats, and just being waaayyy too cheap to buy one every year.... I am a fake tree girl all the way.
This year being a total Scrooge and not even putting up ANY tree due to other issues. So I guess I'm going for the double Bah-Humbug this year...LOL.
