We have one here in NY who comes on our deck to just eat the peanuts for the birds, after dark, my cat seems to always be around but never got sprayed. We turn on the light but he isn't even scared..don't believe he is rabid since ha has been around for awhile. Maybe he hasn't sprayed because now we think he has been doing it for sometime & we just never noticed, and he is not threatened..any comments?

HI: we had a dish of dry cat food in the garage, and left the door open for our cats to come in and out. Just as I was coming out the door one day, I suddenly noticed there were THREE eating at the dish. The skunk had a cat on each side of him, with NO problems what so ever! They must be kin! lol After we removed the food, we never saw him again. a family of coons and possums that come up every nite and YES, they do eat side by side with my cats. I can even walk out on the
deck and they just either stand still or run , but come right back as soon as I go in. I need to get a video or pictures
some day. After all, they are just trying to make a living too and survive.
