HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A company in California is recalling 5,379 bags of salad containing romaine lettuce because of possible E. coli bacteria contamination.

Ready Pac Foods, Inc. is voluntarily recalling salad products including its Caesar salad kits and plain bagged romaine.

According to a company statement, the romaine lettuce was sold at Trader Joe's, Safeway and Dining In Classic labels with a use-by-date of Nov. 18, 2011.

The company says the salad was sold in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Washington and Wyoming

No illnesses have been reported due to the recalled salad.
