"Internet Explorer cannot open the internet site".

I seem to get this message a lot and don't know why. I just got it a minute ago when I tried to check out target.com

Does anyone have any idea what causes this message? 1|1|It could mean the Target site is traffic heavy right now....I get that sometimes on store sites, and if I try again later the page will come up......|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|16:10:33|11/14/2011|

It's not just the target site, it's quite a few sites that the message will pop up.

It keeps telling me to upgrade to a newer browser, but I don't know how to do that.

I am so computer illiterate :(

I have AOL 9.5

5|2|That was going to be my next suggestion, but wasnt sure if it was other sites....check cnet.com for AOL updates and get the newest version..... :)|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|12:03:24|11/15/2011|

6|2|Are you aware that there is a updated version on the AOL 9.5 that may eliminate the issues you are having?|Newman|BenjiBubbles@gmail.com|19:57:23|11/15/2011|

Make sure you have the correct System Requirements that is located towards the end of the web page from the link I posted for you. This may or may not solve your issues or it may be totally something else that is causing these issues for you.

If you have Windows 7 installed in your computer, then you should have Internet Explorer 9 installed as you web browser.
7|1|Newman, please help further.....|KellyJef|burke3536@yahoo.com|12:07:57|11/16/2011|

Thank you so much for the link. When I click on download now, it asks if I want to run or save this file. What do I choose? 8|2|Yes, you always want to download any file and SAVE IT. Do NOT open it, until you scan that file with your Anti-Virus and Security Programs, as you never know there may be a virus linked to it. Once you scan it and everything is okay, then open the file and install it into your computer|Newman|BenjiBubbles@gmail.com|12:13:06|11/16/2011|
