I always read where people are only spend $50 or less
a week to feed a family of 4. I would love to know how they do it?
We live in the land of no doubles.
I try to use coupons as much as possible.
But there aren't any coupons for fresh fruits and vegs normally.
I went to the store today and got fresh fruits/vegs.
It cost me $40. Just for that. The fresh fruits and vegs
will last about a week.
I just don't understand how to feed me and my boys heathly
and save money.

o I freeze the stuff that can be freezed like green peppers, green beans etc..We eat a lot of rice, noodles, beans...really stretches the meals. We spend $20 a week for 2 adults.

so now things like apples, winter squash, sweet potatoes ect are the better prices, and also at their freshest.

At save a lot got gala apples $2.98 for 5 lb.. yams for 39 cents a lb, bananas 39 cents a lb.. and I shop our reg stores for on sale produce and fruit.. like our Boyers has pears for 97 cents a lb this week, and heritage has romaine lettuce $1.29/lb and grape tomatoes b1g1f.. i tend to by frozen veggies when they are on sale too.. hth
