Im going to try and pick up a few things each week. It costs an arm and a leg for a nice dinner!
I saw a lady last week in the market and she had everything needed including the roaster pan in her cart. I really have to get a jump on it!
what kinds of foods do you make for your dinner?
I make stuffing with sausage......yummmm I can taste it now!
mashed potatoes
cranberry sauce
squash
stuffed mushrooms
turkey
my hubby and son love the platter I make with cheese, pepperoni, crackers, green olives, hot peppers, artichoke hearts and whatever other goodies I find. This is a MUST have dish for them!
cheesecake or I might just buy 1 this year
and my father inlaw makes us this awesome rice dish.....cant wait to eat that!
I might actually break out the wine this year :) Im not a big drinker but I like to have a glass of wine with my Holiday meals. Its always been something special to me because as a child I always had a very small sip of wine at the holiday dinner table. 1|1|SuperTarget had Jennie-O Turkey breast on sale last night...|noway|mizzbishop@gmail.com|10:27:03|11/01/2011|
it was a random buy but they had a super cheap price on the turkey breast so I bought it and froze it. I'm definitely planning ahead. I think that my most cherished family Thanksgiving tradition is brie and pate with water crackers. That's obviously a splurge so I'm trying to scrimp on other things so that we can have the luxury we would enjoy. Thank goodness for the freezer. 2|1|yes...even cleared a space in pantry & ...|Skaytes|skaytez@gmail.com|14:46:27|11/01/2011|
reorganized the big pantry so I can put all the stuff for Thanksgiving in just that one area. I have been buying a few things each week so spreading out the cost etc as well as using coupons/sales for items I need. No turkey on sale yet..usually here they wait till close to last minute to put them on sale but am scanning ads etc. :)Looong list for Thanksgiving as daughters always want the same stuff for the holidays for me to make. My one daughter and her fiance will be here plus figuring a few friends will stop by as well at some point so plenty for everyone to eat and I dont' plan on cooking much for a few days! lol!
