0 0|0|Has anyone ever rented a car and been charged for damages on the roof of the car when returned?|randij|randirn@gmail.com|10:46:10|10/30/2011|

I walked around the car with the employee, making sure she wrote all the scratches and dents before I took the car.
I do not remember her looking at the roof and I am sure I would have double checked.
Now I am being charged for scratches on the roof. I did not park under any trees although they keep the cars parked under big trees at the office.
This rental did not go smoothly from the beginning.
First, they did not have the car and when I refused a free upgrade they miraculously found the car. It is a very small office so the car could not have been overlooked so easily.
The car had no gas and the dashboard indicated low tire pressure. The tires were almost over inflated already.
When I returned the car and complained about this, they said they knew about it
They should not rent out cars that are not in proper working order.
If they told me that I would have taken the upgrade as I would not have had a choice.
I am paying 2 college tuitions and am not in a position to spend extra money, especially when I am so sure it was not done while I had the car.
I think I am doomed because I signed off that there was no damage on the car before I took it
I have rented many cars and have never checked the roof.
Any idea?
Thanks
