Ok. I've had a horrible horrible stomach ache for a week now. I feel like I've been beat up and I'm in pain. I know it's a stomach virus because 3 others in the family have had it and theirs was over pretty quickly.... Mine still lingers and I had to leave work sick again today. I don't want to spend the extra money at the doctor right now unless I know there is something they can do...and for stomach's they usually don't do much!
So, please share your home remedies for relieving gas and bloating! PLEASE!
I've tried Ginger Ale, Camomile Tea, Peppermint, Tums, Rolaids, Phyzeme, chicken soup, water, alka seltzer, crackers... I'm out of ideas. Gas and Bloating are my main systems.

Very simple test you can do at home with a loved one, lie flat and as you take a deep breath have them very gently push on your abdomen, on the right side right under your ribs almost directly under your right breast. If it hurts, its your gallbladder. If not, then try any of the above remedies.

I can wait that long. The pain is horrible and I'm having frequent attacks of pain. It really could be this! The pain is really bad in the center of my back right now.

I went to the hospital last night because I was hurting bad. CT Scan showed everything was fine. So on a good note, all my organs look good. On a bad note I have to go to more doctors and take more time off of work! They gave me two different medicines to take. One is like priolsec or nexium, but better and the other coats my stomach and has to be taken 4 times a day to help heal a ulcer. Now I have to look up what not to eat with an ulcer! UGH.
Laurie 13|2|I thought it might be something like that also.....have them check for H-pylori as that is a precendant to ulcers, and can be the cause of them....would need to clear up the H-pylori if it is present or the ulcers would recur. I have gone to the hospital twice. They now have me on 3 different meds and I have an appointment at 8 am with a gastro doctor. Ugh... this is horrible! I'm missing work on top of everything and I don't have any vacation or sick time now because of my surgery eariler in the year and mom dying.
I needed this like I need a hole in the head!

I have to go for another test next week to confirm. It's where your stomach doesn't properly digest and empty food, so I have bile sitting in my stomach. Causes a lot of pain. My stomach lining is inflamed and so is my esophogus, they took biopsies of my stomach and deudeum (sp?). So at least we think we have an answer... there are going to have to be a lot of changes to my diet, the frequency of my meals, etc.
