Hi, I went in Family Dollar after I came home from the hospital to buy a few things I forgot I had a "free item coupon" in my purse for Chocolate turtles.. It beep when I used it & the manager was standing there and grabbed it out of the cashier's hand. She looked at the coupon and stated they don't take "Free item coupons" without buying something like "B1G1F Coupons" You just can't get the item free. Is this true or is it because she didn't want to give it to me free? Is there a place where I can get a Family Dollar coupon policy? 1|1|Family Dollar’s Coupon Policy|ladywcats|neal2856@sbcglobal.net|10:10:07|10/13/2011|

Does accept manufacturers coupons, however, they can not be expired.
DOES allow coupon stacking: Maximum of two coupons per item. One coupon must be a Manufacturer’s
Coupon and the second coupon must be a Family Dollar Coupon as long
as neither coupon states that it is not valid with other coupons
Does accept internet coupons with scan-able barcodes.
There are no limits as to how many items can be purchased when using coupons. For example, if you have six coupons, you can buy six items and use all of the coupons.
Does not accept coupons for more than the purchase price. Ask them to bring the coupon price down with an over-ride.
No Free merchandise Coupons (Except buy one get one free or other combinations that require a purchase)
