Can anyone tell me what would be safe and cheap to use on a leather purse? I don't want to buy a leather cleaner and wondered if there were any household cleaners I could use on it. A mild shampoo? 1|1|Do some research on this, but I've heard olive oil is great for both wood and leather....lightly spritz some on a clean cotton rag, and work in to the wood or leather, then use a second clean cotton cloth to 'buff' it clean and shiny :)|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|09:22:13|10/12/2011|

this sounds like it would work well and not damage the leather 3|1|Recently read...|whitmarg|robin@whitmannet.com|12:57:27|10/12/2011|

Eggs. I think it was a recent article in First for Women magazine. I believe it's the egg white...

OK, wait did a search...

Restore the shine of your old leather
To restore the shine of your old and worn out leather, separate the whites of 2 eggs into a bowl. Then use a dry cloth to apply the whites to the leather in a circular motion. The proteins in the egg whites moisturize the material to give it a like-new shape and shine.

never thought of using them for leather, that makes sense because of the protein in eggs, guess that would help leather?
