My mom just called me a couple minutes ago to lmk my brother-in-law Kim passed away this morning. His suffering is over.
I'm heading out to my bil & sister's house in a few minutes. Please say a special prayer that Kim has finally found peace, & for my sister & Kim's family.

Kim was at home when he passed at 8 yesterday morning. The poor guy went thru hell the last several wks. unable to get anything down into his stomach except his meds w/a little bit of water & some milk. It was heartwrenching to see him as he was skin & bones & looked like a 100 yr. old man when he'd just turned 55 last Weds. When my mom & I were out to see him the week before, my mom thought his b-day was the 13th of this month. I didn't think he'd make it to the 13th, & he didn't. But his b-day was the 5th so he DID make it to his b-day after all. It was a rough day for him tho & these past few days were very difficult for him so it is bittersweet relief that he finally got some peace.
And there is NO doubt in our minds he did find peace & is now in a much better place w/loved ones who passed before him. When we all 1st got there yesterday morning, Kim was lying on the couch & looked like he was simply sleeping w/no particular expression on his face. We all took turns saying our good-byes & then some of us went outside as it was beautiful out. After about an hour, my sister & Kim's sister Karri came out to get us to come back in as Kim's facial expression had changed. When we went in to see what was going on, there was now a very noticeable smile on his face! I said I think he finally got to where he was going, & that was his way of letting us all know he's ok & is happy.
