I finally found a job back in August and they paid well. I though finally my daughter and I can start getting back on our feet. Well I lost my job today because I can't work until December because I have massive blood clots in my lungs and legs. I can't stand for more than 2 hours and I can't have an office job because I can't sit a long time either. On top of it all I went to re-apply for food stamps but they turned me down because I am living with a friend (male friend). I pay him between 75.00 to 150.00 a month when I can afford it. If I can't pay than I will cook and clean for him. My daughter and I are living in a one room bedroom but we have the house to roam in but the caseworker said I'm living with a man so I can't collect food stamps! I told I don't want them that long just as long as I'm sick than I will try to get another job! She told me to move out and than they can help me! My landlord didn't want his house anymore because of the taxes so he told me I had to get out in a week. I had no where to go so my male friend told me I could move into his house until I got on my feet. My dr also said I shouldn't be alone for a year because I could very easily get a stroke or a heart attack.
Today I got some free items coupons from a friend and I went to use them at Walgreens I asked my daughter to hold onto them and she put them in the basket and some idiot took them. They would have paid for at least 3 days of food for us. I'm so depressed and I don't know what to do. My caseworker says I probably won't be able to get SSI either =( I just wanna throw in the towel!
