SandyI am so upset. I went shopping at Walmart today. I had my shopping almost finished & remembered that I was going to buy 10 heinz ketchups & turn in my 10 -50 cent off coupons that would expire 9/30/11. I pulled the 10 coupons from my binder & laid them on top of my binder with my stack of other (60 or more) coupons that I was going to use at the checkout today. I turned around and picked up a few bottles of ketchup & put them into my cart & continued to loading the ketchup into my cart until I had 10 bottles. When I looked back into my cart & started to pick up the stack of coupons, they were gone. Someone had taken the entire stack of coupons that I had pulled out of my binder to use today. I had to leave 3/4 of my cart of groceries in the store because I didn't have the money to pay for everything without the coupons. It was so embarassing & it has totally ruined my food budget. What I can't figure out is--How did they do it so fast & I didn't see it happen. (Turned around from the cart about 3-4 times total while loading the coupons-couldn't have taken over 1 minute). Has the economy gotten so bad that people are now stealing coupons right out of other peoples carts?? I guess I am lucky that I had my purse on my shoulder.

Slip-Ons and I noticed that the package was a little lighter than the other one. Well, I find a hole in it on the top and I compared the packages and at least 2 or 3 diapers had been pulled out. Sheesh!!! Really??? Needless to say, I put that package back. It already has a much lower number of diapers... don't need theft giving me even less. This was at CVS. At the RA in my area, I saw ripped open packages of KC products just so they could get to the codes. Again, really??? Have you looked everywhere, though. Sometimes as I shop I pull out the coupons I'm going to use and put in the little side pocket on the front of my binder and there's been a time or two that they've slid farther down in the side pocket and almost gotten lost. Did you look between the pages of the binder, too? Maybe they accidentally got stuck between two pages. And you checked the buggy good, too, right? Does sound like someone swiped them as they walked by but I'm sending happy vibes out to you that they turn up somewhere Sandy

I checked my cart top to bottom (I took everything out of it--as I was deciding what I could afford to buy without the coupons), I walked 2 times through every aisle that I had gone down & even looked under the shelves in the aisles, I looked through every page of the binder & in every pocket of the binder, I emptied my purse completely. If I had misplaced or dropped over 70 coupons I am sure that I would have found at least 1 of them somewhere. My coupons were in the seat section of the cart & I walked around to the side to load the ketchup into the cart.
I am too short to put things into the cart by reaching over the handles & seat section of the cart, so I have to put them in from the side or the other end.
I turned my back on the cart briefly-about 3 times -when I turned from the cart to the shelf to get the ketchup. I can't pick up more than 3-4 bottles at once.
I agree-- one shouldn't take their eyes off their cart or their hands off the cart handle If at all possible.
Even better-- is the suggestion to always take a helper with you when you shop. I'm going to try to do that from now on if I have over 2-3 items to buy! And MOST CERTAINLY will take a helper if I am going to be shopping using lots of coupons!

o when I am shopping, I never leave it in the cart,I've been doing it that way for a long time, it keeps them safe. I have a empty pocket in the front of my binder, as I pick out the coupons I am going to use they get moved into the empty pocket. I treat my coupons like cash, they stay safetly tucked in my binder till I am at the checkout.
