i am in the process of getting a lab band surgery with my insurance is paying for. i had to go today for the psych exam and met with the dietician. if i make weight next friday the 30th the doc with schedule the Operating room.
here is the kicker, for 3 weeks i have to be on a bariatric protein powder that cost between $50-$75 dollars. this is something i do not have! my kid started school and i had to shell out for pictures and other things and my money is almost nill. my mom and grandmother take me today (gave them gas money to do so) and they know how much i struggle and no one says they will help me out? wth???? my grandma has TONS of money and even bought my mom a car not too long ago, but see's me always struggling and offers me 0. i didnt ask them, but should i have too?
i would do anything for them and have done so without ever expecting anything in return, but come on :(:(
i dunno maybe im just being mean but when do i get help :(

I think sometimes people like to be asked for fear of insulting you by offering.
Here you are trying to do something to help you live a longer, healthier life and you have to get this protein drink. Perhaps ask for the help. Tell her that you are trying to give yourself another start and to be here for many many years for your kids. How could anyone find fault in that.
BTW - as a side note -- this WILL be the best thing you can do for yourself. You will feel so much better... I hope you get some help.

If you need help, ask for it, perhaps they will oblige. I know I'm not there and I do NOT know the entire situation, I am merely a 3rd party looking in via a post on a public forum.......
