Pete, my son, called ... he has 2 days left till payday. Tonight for supper he had: 2# ground beef, taco seasoning, rice, can of refried beans, and a can of corn. Substitute the beef with pork and sounds like a REALLY good dinner to me. Soldiers are SO resourceful, aren't they?!?!

dinner is free if you can get to the dining hall, but when my son first got to his base, he was so far from the hall, and he had no mode of transportation, made more sense to eat in his room. They charge them for so many little things too, if you do not watch your money very carefully you are broke before payday.
