Can anyone tell me what I can put in a citrus salad dressing that is just not as creamy as I want it to be

What can I use to thicken it a little and not change the taste

Thanks for any help anyone can give me 1|1|The mayo base didnt work out for you, Betty? :( The only thickeners I can of to use is cornstarch then, and I'm not sure how that works in a cold/cool mixture.......|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|12:33:13|09/11/2011|

and this is a different dressing than the Asian one--I just gave up on that

I am going to get it figured out at some point because this citrus dressing is just divine but needs to be a tab more creamy

Thanks and if you come up with any more idea let me know 3|1|In searching online...(M)|bluh2oeyes|bluh2oeyes@yahoo.com|15:30:33|09/11/2011|

There are a few orange dressings that have either plain yogurt or cottage cheese in them to make them "creamy" that I found but

Still can't find one that is for a creamy Orange Sesame Dressing like you said you wanted a few weeks ago

but you might want to take one like this

http://www.food.com/recipe/tgi-fridays-mandarin-orange-sesame-dressing-copycat-134974

And maybe change up something like the Oil...and use mayo instead or a 50-50 mixture of oil and mayo or oil and either the yogurt or cottage cheese to make it "creamy"

Buzz it up in the blender really well.

Those are my thoughts...Joy's the cooking "expert" here...might want to see what her 2 cents is on this idea....Joy?

I think I will get some plain yogurt and put it all in the blender

The mayo I used kind of separated for some reason and I do not know if it was because of the EVOO that was used

Thanks so much for doing all that research for me

You are welcome, I hope one of the ideas works. If you are using mayo I'd cut back on the oil since it's sort of the "oil" type ingredient as well.

I've glanced at the list for HT and clipped and printed a few things but not to excited.

Then again I usually can't find what I go for so then I get angry...best way to approach it for me is to just not get to excited. KWIM?

I get off work and then it seems like they never restock when I can go

Like you I do not get too excited anymore about triples

There are some condiments I would love to have but I know I will
not get them and with doubles and a good sale they are still free

I can find great deals with sales and regular doubles at the stores and sometimes a better deal than triples
