my mom called me yesterday at work, and told me the bad news...my friend carols son had killed
5 people and then himself. : ( we both had our boys at the same time..mine is travis shane, and hers
was shane.....something went def wrong...he ended up going crazy yesterday killing 5 people and when
the cops chased him...he killed himself??? so sad..I mean, this was a normal family? normal kid so
I thought and something snapped? : ( Carol and I were the best of friends all thru school, i've only
seen her maybe once a year since high school, but know she's a really good person...and I know this is
tearing her up...just so sad, it's like i want to say something to her, but just don't know the words
right now. you just never know what's going to happen day to day. such innocent people just living their
day and now they are gone. the one girl was 6 months pregnant. : (

Shelly, as for your friend, she just needs to know you care....there are no right words in a situation like this, but just tell her "I dont know what to say to comfort you, but I want you to know I care, that I'm sorry for what happened and what you are going through"....sometimes that's all we can do. :( Can I recommend you remove your friend's first name from your post....the info in the article gives location and last name, and I'm sure you wouldnt want some kook to get her info and contact her or harass her..... :)|saint6811|waylan@comcast.net|08:37:27|09/07/2011|

Victims were a 49 yr old man,his 50 yr old wife,her 3 children ages 17,22 & 30. The 22 yr old was pregnant. He also ran over a woman in PA and wounded a gas station attendant as he crossed back into WV and took his own life in KY. The woman in PA was seriously injured. "The path of violence he cut through 3 states before committing suicide was one of the most heinous crimes I've ever witnessed" said State Police Capt.
So sorry for your friend and her family. He left so much devastation behind.

My heart goes out to her & the victims & their families.
So sad for her son. I imagine your friend is devastated over losing her son on top of the painful wonder & confusion of what came over him to do what he did.
