and then I visited a friend in Ohio three weeks ago. He gave me an older laptop...the thing is heavy (you could swing it at someone and probably kill them if it hit someone in the head...hehehe). It is an HP, with Windows Millenium installed on it! Millenium? Holy cow! Talk about obsolete. I will take it to a computer tech and have the laptop cleaned and wiped and have Millenium uninstalled and Windows 7 installed instead (if that is possible).

Then, once it is up and running again, I will have constant access to the internet and can do my sweeps and stuff from anywhere outside my home. YaY! 3|2|You also will need to ad more Memory (RAM) for Windows 7 to run properly. At least 3 GB of Memory. But, that old of the computer, may not allow you to add anymore Memory, see what the computer tech suggests for you to do.|Newman|BenjiBubbles@gmail.com|06:58:18|09/06/2011|

Hmm. I'll ask the computer tech. I will add as much as I can possible add; I may not be able to run Windows 7...but maybe Vista or something. I'll see what is suggested. Worse comes to worse, I can just use it as a potential weapon...LOL! Or maybe as a doorstop. 5|4|If you are going to use the Laptop for just emailing and surfing the web, you may consider into buying one of those Netbooks which are not expensive, but they do not have any CD/DVD drive not included to reduce weight and thickness|Newman|BenjiBubbles@gmail.com|07:34:56|09/06/2011|

I just bought RAM for work, about about $12/G.

I doubt that a laptop with Milennium will be able to support Win7. We had/have many XP machines that can't run with Win7. Not just the ram, but drivers, processors, etc.

There are a lot of great deals out there for new laptops with Win7, 3 year warranties, for $250-400. I know... it's not as good as free, but no old laptop is really free.
