He had scans again on Mon. & got the results yesterday. It isn't good news. :(
There won't be anymore chemo treatments as it's not working anymore. The dr. wants to put a stent in his throat to keep it open for him to breathe & to decrease the excessive coughing he's been having.
My bil & sister are both pretty upset so can really use some special prayers.
My bil has esophageal cancer w/a tumor in his esophagus, 1 on his ribs, 1 in his back, 1 in his hip & several on his liver (started out as 4 on his liver where 1 shrunk during the 1st type of chemo but then 2 more new ones showed up on the scans he had in May). The 1st type of chemo seemed to be working pretty good at 1st, shrinking 1 of the tumors on his liver & the tumor in his esophagus from the size of a fist down to the size of a thumb nail. Then the cancer got smarter so he's been undergoing a different type of chemo since June. Unfortunately, it hasn't been doing any good so they're stopping the chemo. This is not good. :(
