We just bought a house and it does not have a basement, just the concrete slab foundation.

We want to replace the carpet. Does anybody happen to know how they install it? Do they still put those wood blocks with carpet nails around the edge of the room or do they glue it down or something?

.. 3|1|Depends on Carpet and pad/no pad choice (M)|bluh2oeyes|bluh2oeyes@yahoo.com|08:20:39|08/28/2011|

Would depend on carpet type and pad or no pad. If you get carpet with seperate pad they would have to use "tack" strip. If the carpet has the pad on the back (like office carpet or indoor/outdoor kind) or no pad at all they usually glue.

I would ask before you purchase what the install method would be.
