Sitting in computer chair at desk and it felt like a wave was under me. Grandson felt it too. News came on and there was an earthquake in Washington DC area.

I was downstairs working on DH's computer and I felt the chair shake and saw the cables moving...so I went upstairs and searched for an earthquake for today and sure enough there was one. It's about 60 miles from here, so we had quite a shaking! It lasted for at least 30 seconds.

I do have back spasms and had the heating pad on but never experienced spasms that bad before. The earthquake fault must reach up to Rochester N.Y. too. We're currently under a Tornado Watch in several counties w/a couple getting Tornado Warnings. Been humid & icky all day today. This on top of the earthquake in the East Coast today & Hurricane Irene also heading that way by week's end. Sheesh!
I think we could use a prayer chain around the country/world, for everyone's safety, good health & certainly for a better economy.

It was right around the time the news/weather was on & at the end of the news, they said there was some damage w/injuries also reported. :(
Several counties, including mine, are currently under a Tornado Watch til 10 tonight but I'm hoping it won't amount to more than some rain altho the air is pretty heavy out right now w/dew pts. at 71. Ugh! There were t-storms around here last night w/lightning striking a few houses in the neighboring town. A reg. t-storm isn't so bad but I don't wish these dangerous/damaging storms, earthquakes or hurricanes on anyone.
