Long story much shorter the med I needed for daughter's allergies I can't get is due to a ingredient the FDA has decided after Aug 31st will NOT be allowed in the USA for use any longer. The discontinued med is: Methscopolamine Nitrate It is a main ingredient in Dallergy (Chlor-Mes D syrup) for allergies.
If anyone is on any meds that currenly have this as a main ingredient listed you need to call your doctor and get a different med as it has already been discontinued and what anyone is getting is just what is left floating around out there. Again,..after the 31st it will be ILLEGAL to get this med in the US here due to FDA ruling.
My doctor actually called the chemist at the mfr listed and spoke to the head chemist. They came up finally with a 'patch' med that might be comparable for my daughter to try but we will start that tomorrow and see if it works and is tolerable for her.
Just thought I would give a heads up as the end of the month is looming close already...
