my face, neck, and arms got zortched. what would work good to help cool them down? i am not blistering, yet. ugh
I have been using Noxema to try to cool it down...not helping a whole lot.
any help appreciated.

Dabbing w/white vinegar will also help take out the sting & moisturize your skin altho the vinegar might sting a little bit at 1st.
Just avoid anything that has alcohol in it as that will dry out your skin & make it feel worse. Hot showers & soap will also dry out your skin & make it feel worse. Cool showers w/a moisturizing soap, gel or bodywash (w/no alcohol ingredients) are best at 1st
And NEVER use table butter/margarine or other types of grease on any kind of burn.
If you start to blister, it would be best to go see your dr.

I was at my sister last month house-sitting and she had come back from Florida where she was on vacation. She hasn't been out in the sun like that in years and one of her friends told her to try SOY SAUCE (any brand, even off brand) and it actually worked. I wouldn't of believed but since I was the one that put it on her and did for 2 days, it worked. It takes the STING out and helps your skin not to peel to bad. She would wash it off when she took her shower everyday but then I would apply it to her back and arms & it worked. You have to let it DRY before getting completely dress.

Dr oz says tomato sauce is very effective for sunburns because it contains lycopene in it, if you eat lycopene it will give you the ability to expose yourself to sun without getting burned by it. If you do get sunburnt take an Aloe leaf and break it. Aloe leaves when you break them have a little bit of juice in them. This Aloe Juice does very well if you burn yourself.
