I was wondering if anyone is on Yaz Birth Control and if you had any problems with it. My dr said my blood clots came from the birth control and I googled my birth control brand name and I was shocked what I found... My former school teacher's daughter (23 yrs. old at the time of the stroke) was taking this & it caused her to have a stroke. It was proven that Yaz is what caused it. That was 5 yrs. ago & she has since been living back home w/her parents so they can take care of her. She's able to walk again after extensive therapy but still requires the aid of a walker or someone to help her.
I've since noticed many ads for lawsuits against Yaz & a few other types of birth control products. Not sure how dangerous crap like that can still be marketed for use. :(

are not warning the patients more about it too. I think they much to blame as the drug company. On top of it I have a heart problem to begin with and my GYN Dr. knew this and I asked him about side effects and he didn't say anything about blood clots... hubby lost his job and state medical wouldn't pay for it. Had to go off it and never went back on. That probably saved me!

Dr told her it was from Yaz
She goes to physical therapy for it and wrote a little article about how the stroke changed her life...
