have honestly never seen so much local tragedy in one edition.....front page had 3 articles...3...all involving deaths yesterday...senseless tragic deaths for the most part.....Worst one was 4 local football players(2 from my hometown growing up-all from the same highschool my brothers went to)...died in a car wreck that should not have happened..they were heading out for the annual camp is done meal at a local buffet,.....crested a hill and hit stopped trafic. Driver was only 17, should have only had 1 other under 18 non family member in the car....there were 8 kids, including him....Next accident 2 kids died, 2 others and parents/nanny hurt, some critically...still not sure all involved there...and last was a pilot who clipped another small plane..other pilot not in good shape...
I just am overwhelmed how bad the news was....not used to that in our area...normally they filter the front page with something good or at least meaningless....
edited to add...some good and bad news..just checked the local papers website..other 4 players out of hospital in time for prayer vigil....but one more child died from the second accident....an 11 yr old boy.... 1|1|just terrible, sometimes I hate watching or reading the news...|sxm0089|fireft@sbcglobal.net|21:26:15|08/21/2011|
seems like there are more bad things that happen than good. My heart goes out to families of these people.
