be sure to search online for something like 'costco membership discount.'

Also, basic membership comes with 2 cards, consider splitting the cost with a friend. You don't have to be a 'spouse' for the second card. 3|1|What I buy at Sam's |brainyblonde|brainyblonde410@gmail.com|06:00:28|08/18/2011|

Most dairy products - milk, cottage cheese, sliced cheeses, eggs, sour cream, OJ, Turkey Hill iced tea, OM turkey breast, Hormel bacon
fair trade bananas
romaine lettuce - (the bagged salad prices are very good, but you really have to eat it quickly)
potatoes, vidalia onions, fresh pineapple
check the meat case for markdowns - I've had good luck this summer with ground beef and steaks - I bring it home, break it down and freeze
restaurant size cans of Don Pepino tomato puree (about $3) and pizza sauce (maybe $3.75)
restaurant size cans of pudding are also a good buy - if you have lots of kids to feed
Pam cooking spray (the 2 pk is only slightly more than 1 can in the grocery store)
love the bakery rolls (not a long shelf life but they never really last that long here)
rotisserie chicken
pre-packaged lunch box snacks 4|2|If you have a BJ's they ae great as they take coupons where the other stores like them do not |teener|teenerzacsneenee@yahoo.com|06:13:27|08/18/2011|

We just went last Saturday (had a 1 day pass) and tried some organic crackers. They were awesome! A 2pk was 7.49 (plus out 10% service fee) only to find them the very next day at Walmart for 5.98! The same exact crackers in the same exact 2pk! There are some things you can get there that you can't get anywhere else, I'm just saying to be careful what you buy there..... it may be less at Walmart.

We belong to BJ's and many Items are cheaper than the grocery store.

But on the flip side, I can get toothpaste MUCH cheaper at the grocery store, during a sale, with coupons.

In my opinion it depends on the item

One of my favorites at BJ's is land o lakes american cheese. 3.49lb minus 1.00 coupon, is 2.49lb, at the local grocery stores, the cheapest, I can ever get it after coupones, 3.99lb

Like anything anywhere else, you need to compare prices, and be an informed consumer.
