I have had lots of experience. Once they are done eating, put the kitty in the litter box. After a few times, she will know what to do. 3|1|"Its been a while but...|destiny|destinyroger@yahoo.com|12:04:34|08/14/2011|
I use to try and let them play as much as possible in the litter box.. i'd keep it clean of course but i'd put the kitty in it and then take it's paws and show it how to dig in the litter.. Many times it's just instinct that they will eventually see it's a great place to potty. Or i'd put the kitty in the litter box every half hr or so while I was home.. The catnip idea is a really great idea! :) Good luck with your kitty!

you always hear noises in the dark when you work at night 6|1|I one had a problem with getting a kitten to potty in the liter box. What worked for me, was a using an old(it got thrown out when kitty was trained) 13 X 9 cake pan, for her litter box. Once she got used to it, I re-introduced her to the big kitty box. This was a 4 week old kitten, that I found abandoned, Not sure if the young had something to do with the situation, or not. |dlpavitt|dlpavitt@att.net|19:59:07|08/14/2011|
