they give you directions on how to make a certain meal with in store demo and all the needed items are rightthere so no hunting through the store. If you go during the opening week bring your own cart or you will be waiting to get one it will be that much of a crowd.

I shop Wegmans near my office located in one of the wealthy areas in the county. I was pleasantly surprised by their grocery prices. They are better than a lot of the other chain stores. They do double coupons - used to be .50 and under, now .99 and under. This is probably to be comparable to the other grocery stores. Their store brand items and meats are excellent quality and very well priced. They have a bulk food section and an extensive organic section. HBA and non-food item prices are so-so. You need a store card for the sale prices.
The prepared food section is huge, and this is where you would go broke. :) I have co-workers that eat most of their meals from Wegman's prepared food section. (They have tables & chairs so you can eat in.) They have sushi, a bakery (pretzel rolls rock!) salad bar, entrees and sides, a deli, a coffee bar, pizza, etc. It is gourmet and pricey.

they are awesome. i have been a wegmans shopper since i was a kid. very competive prices. you can only double 4 of a kind coujpon up to .99 each. they do not give overage,. their deli tends to be pricey but you get what you pay for and the have a great selection of $6 ready to eat meals. includes a meat and 2 sides.
great bakery with all kinds of fresh rolls/ bagels etc. -- nest you'll probably get a wegmans owned liquor store.

I prefer a smaller store nearby, a local store that isn't so crowded. I don't like the way they wrap the meats and they don't carry a lot of things I use. they love their wegmans. The store definitely leans heavy on the prepared stuff....which is where they make there money. If you can avoid the traps of that, then they are a great store. They are always rated as a top employer, too.
Their $6 take-home meals are absolutely wonderful and they are fresh and have a great variety of entrees.

I can tell you that when they first open you will be lucky to even beable to get on the parking lot, I waited for a few months to go to the new one close to my house, I knew what the store was like because I had been to them before so I waited, now its not as crazy as it was when they opened.
some of there non food items are pricey but if you watch there sales flyer you can get some good deals. i love there deli meats. also there bulk section is priced reasonable. I like shopping there, the store is a really big store and bit overwhelming if you dont like shopping in a store that you dont know.
