When Equal & Splenda first came out, I used this daily in my coffee/teas, etc., and not too long afterwards my lower legs/feet started tingling to which I had it checked out only to show nothing was wrong with me. I was also gaining weight as well consuming these sweeteners. As time went on, started reading more into artificial sweeteners and saw the long list of side effects consuming Equal/Splenda sweeteners including weight gain. I have since quit taking all products containing aspartame and only use stevia/xylitol in my teas & raw coconut crystals for baking. Even after I stopped taking aspartame, I still had tingling in my legs/feet for a few years!! Thankfully I no longer have this problem, it was frustrating to say the least. The only soda I occasionally drink is Zevia which is sweetened with stevia. HTH, Sharon:)

and it's really tough to do. If I have a drink, I would much rather make it myself and put in real sugar in the quantity I feel is acceptable. I have really started to like sparkling water type drinks... but you have to watch, many of them also have artificial sweetenr in them.
