The water in a lake in Texas has turned blood-red, and all the fish has died. The lake is now lifeless. The cause? Bacterial infestation caused by severe drought and depleted lake water. The comet Elenin will appear in the sky to astronomers as it's path eventually crosses Earth's orbit. Could this be another sign of the End Times?

The next link depicts the Cherokee Indian prophecy of a renewal of Earth and the start of a new beginning. The Cherokee calendar also predicts the end in the year 2012. This prediction is similar to what the Mayans believe will happen in 2012.

Bad & scary things have actually been happening for decades, even centuries. We just didn't have the technology yrs. ago for the media to access it & put it out there for the world to see/hear.
Seems like everytime there's a war, an earthquake/tsunami, forest/wild fire, tornado, crime, drought, hurricane, new millenium or downturn in the economy, some idiot claims it's a sign of the End Times. But our country & the rest of the world has experienced all of these things before at some point in history.
But it's like crime - people think that there are more crimes & criminals filling up the prison system when in actuality, we simply have better technology, such as fingerprinting & DNA tests not to mention law enforcement agencies being able to share more info via computers/internet, that makes it easier/faster to discover who committed the crime. Yes, our prison systems are filling up but it's simply due to better technology being able to show who the perp is. And of course, we hear more about it now than we did yrs. ago due to the media technology.
Sad to say but bad news, scary news, celebrity gossip, etc. is what captures a person's attention & it's what sells newspapers, magazines & radio & tv shows. It's the same way on the internet; the more juicy or harrowing the story, the more people will go to that site to view/listen to it. And there are usually bits & pieces added in to make it sound better/worse, so it's not always accurate info we're even receiving.
I've been hearing about the end times since I was a young kid. I've no doubt that at some point in the future, possibly centuries from now, it will happen. But NOBODY but God knows when that will be, & He ain't telling so it's no use for me to worry about when that time will come. It'll happen when it happens & there's really nothing any one of us can do to change that.

No, I think the beginning was waaaay before any of us were born. We've BEEN living in the End Times and every day it draws closer. It's just a fact. There are very few prophecies yet to be fulfilled. The final would be One Government, One Currency, and the mark of the beast. God has given us a timeline of events that lead up to the return of JC. I do find the Holy Bible intriguing in many ways. I think, for the most part, that the Bible is a great work...a combination of fiction and moralistic stories/fables/parables that can teach so many values in all of us. So many Christian folk hold different views about what constitutes the End Times. For example, some believe that the Rapture will happen first, followd by seven years of Tribulation, before the final battle takes place. Others think that the Rapture takes place later, during the Tribulation. The fact that Christians cannot even reach a consensus on HOW to worship, let alone their varying beliefs regarding the End Times...that it becomes a totally confusing dogma.
Whatever the Bible, or the Torah, or the Koran says...I simply believe that Earth abides. It's been here long before humanity existed, and it will be here long after humanity ceases to exist. Such is the cycle of life in the Universe.
