So my 13 year old boy is hot dogging down the street on his bike and hits the blue reflector in the road which throws him over the handle bars and he skids on his shoulder and right side. I had just ran in the house when it happened. The neighbor and his wife saw it and they and my other kids go pick him up. Stinking kid was not wearing his helmet-he'd taken it off when I walked away cuz its too hot for it. I am so mad at him disobeying me. We have his shoulder on ice since that's whats giving him the most pain. We don't think he broke it but maybe somewhat dislocated. We're gonna watch it and see what happens. So we may end up in ER tonight.

When it comes to safety, my DD's were no better I must admit. We live on a dirt road, so they would go to their friend's house who had a paved road to roller blade.
So, out of sight, out of mind.Oldest DD decides not to wear her helmet and bam, what does she do but hit a rock. Sends her head over heels and she came home with an awesome road rash down the left side of her body.
We picked out ashpalt for about an hour.

at 31 i am sure this kid of mine still does not have a brain. sometimes i think there is hope but then there are other times i am sure he took a double does of stupid pills.
