I was just buying 4 bags of bagged salad. BUT, saw they had on special buy 5 coke 12 pks for 12 dollars(hubby is a big soda fan). So I figure out the cost of my salad bags, minus coupons, and it was not quite 10.00. So I picked up a couple other things, I would need soon anyway, and had coupons for those items, as well.
I get to the register, and the clerk sees my 5 coke 12pks, and says where is your store card. I said, I would get it in a second, as I was putting the other items on the belt. She says, she can not start a transaction without it. Now I know that is not true, but give it to her and move on.
Then she says, I can not ring up the soda, until after all of your items are rund up. Again, do not think this it true, but leave it alone.
So then I pull out my coupons for everything, and she freaks, and says, I do not have enough items after coupons, to meet the 10.00 requirement, to get the soda. I told her yes I do, and to just ring it up. She proceeds to tell me the soda will be regular price, if I am not over ten dollars. So I said, I would ris it LOL!! Thinking, if I was off a few pennies, I would throw in a bottled drink for myself.
So she rings it up, and my total is exactly 10.00 after coupns, and before bottle deposit. I swear, she was mad, by the way she looked. I did not think it would come out to be 10.00 exactly, but the look on her face, was priceless.

to run into her at the store. afew days ago i was in line and the gal in front of me asked the checker about something that was on sale and was almost gone,i didn't know what she was talking about .the checker said to her oh the coupon people probably got them all.and my ears perked up i thought the coupon people um like to meet them .the gal didn't say anything and left so that was it but i also thought i want to be one of the coupon people like a cult or something -fun 5|2|That's Great D. She came over and asked what rain checks I needed LOL. Then when I asked for one for butterball turkey she said oh I bet you have the coupons for those. It's on sale $10/10. I love when the cashiers are friendly and helpful!
