o I would have asked the dentist why he feels that way? Is there a issue with your teeth or gums? I'd call him and ask, and ask what the screening details.

It is just a more advanced way to find any hidden areas. I watched a show on this recently,and they were talking about how they want to make the cancer screening just a normal part of what a dentist does because there is such a increase in mouth cancers. I was interested because my aunt is dealing with mouth cancer.
