I pulled the crockpot out and made up a recipe myself from what I had onhand here. Put in 5 or 6 still frozen chicken breasts, poured a can of chicken broth over it. Added 3 cans of cream of chicken soup, 1 jar of salsa (used the Frito Lay jar mild type is what I had onhand here)..let cook for about 5 hrs till chicken was cooked thoroughly. Then added a can of drained black beans and several cups of minute rice and let cook another hour or better till rice was cooked in it then stirred it all up. I took out the chicken too and shredded/chopped it up and added it back into dish. Was like creamy mexican rice with chicken in it. Everyone LOVED it! Put shredded cheese on top of it and served (if they wanted them) with tortilla chips. Too dang hot to cook anything else! :) This would be great inside regular tortillas but we were out of them unfortunately as they ate them with chorizzo/eggs for breakfast the other day lol!

I looked at a Rachael Ray recipe for cheesy zucchini boats and used that to go from. DH likes spicy so I added green chile and used sliced cheese under the filling and on top and then I grilled them. YUM!

It will be great to have a garden. You can still plant some things now that grow fast, like spinach and lettuce. I have some containers on the deck and a pepper plant. I think I'll cook up some hamburger patties w/potatoes for lunch. I haven't hardly had any real, solid food in about a couple wks. as too hot to cook anything even on the stove & I don't care for meat done in the microwave. Lived on fruits & veggies & whatever was quick & easy. LOL Thought I would've lost a few pounds, if not from sweating at least from eating lighter/healthier. Doesn't appear that way. Poo!

Actually the secret topping is comprised of three things: one of them being WATER.
Somebody has already guessed the second ingredient. HEINZ brand of KETCHUP.
But for the recipe to really work, there's a THIRD ingredient that has to be added
into the ketchup. Anybody know what that essential ingredient is ?

The answer is Sicilian dried OREGANO.

Sicilian (or any Italian) dried oregano when mixed along with Heinz ketchup and some water will add tremendous flavor to your already stellar stuffed peppers. Drizzle this mixture on top of your peppers before placing them to cook in the oven and you're good to go.

For some reason, I had oregano on my brain as a spice altho I know it's an herb. I used to waitress in an Italian restaurant & the cook used this, parsely, basil & of course, garlic alot. I love Italian food & could live on Linquini w/white clam sauce. LOL The Braciola was pretty darn good too!
