And it's supposed to be like this ALL week so an Excessive Heat Warning has been issued from today thru Thurs. cuz w/the high temps & high humidity, we're looking at heat indexes of 105° to 115°. Ugh! :(

Got the a/c on & the dehumidifier going in the basement. I might be checking into a smaller, lighter dehumidifier for up here, if there will be any left. Ooof!

We've got temps in the high 90s, humid and hot. But for the last year, I have been freezing, so I am finally NOT COLD! (Except in my house, my DH has the air on really high, and I am bundled up with a hoodie and layers, then finally peel them off when I go outside. It's terrible, I am sleeping in flannel pjs with 6 blankets at night, and everybody else is in underwear and no blanket and still hot. My body is so out of whack from the 17 months of chemo that I just couldn't get warm for the longest time, now I can finally stop freezing. My DH laughed at me til he saw the goosebumps and shivers when I took off the jacket. And it's not that cold in the house, he's got it at around 74. When the temp outside drops below 80, I am back in long pants, long sleeves and a jacket and everybody thinks I'm nuts.

We are in for another week of HELL with temps in the high 90's again this week and unbearable to do anything like I planned. I don't have a pool so I suffer.A
cold front arrived yesterday and its a wonderful 80 degrees with a dewpoint of 66 now...very comfy but tomorrow it all changes..We go through times like this in the south..The weather varies in GA..can be hot/humid/warm or comfy and the changes come with the fronts from the north..I always welcome them! Even in winter..ha ha.
Oh but our hot humid weather comes from the gulf/and west..hot hot there

I don't know about the new treatment he just started but the treatments he was getting before have messed up his body temp., among other things. A couple wkends ago it was hot & humid like it is now & I guess he was so cold that he was wearing an insulated flannel shirt over a t-shirt w/long-johns under his jeans. I just about died thinking about it! The rest of us were wearing as cool summerwear as we could find, melting & panting like dogs, & here he was bundled up as if it was winter. :-O

We just got a swamp cooler (evaporative cooler) set up in the house and temps are about 85 inside now.
It really helped alot, before we installed it, it was 93-97 inside the house.
Those of you who have AC, be thankful for it :)

and most of June before that, so every time I feel like complaining about how hot it is, I think twice. I know they have had record heat there and no rain. I am so glad he is done with that phase for awhile.
