I know I've put my share of stamps on upside down & written on the envies upside down & then had to affix the stamp & my return addy label accordingly to that. And I recall that on at least 1 occasion I affixed the stamp to the upper left hand corner & my NAZ label in the upper right. Miraculously, they went thru. LOL
