It is legit and safe. I transfer money between it and my normal bank. I use it for long-term savings since the interest rate is higher. Often, there are special promos that get you a bonus if you deposit a certain amount. I haven't seen any lately though. But setting up an account is fairly easy (Patriot Act notwithstanding...)
