Just got word a little bit ago that my chiropractor passed away unexpectedly yesterday. :(
I was just in for an adjustment yesteday morning so this has really shocked & upset me.
His son took him in later on yesterday for a problem w/his eye which was determined to be a detached retina. Surgery to repair that was to be today, but while waiting for prep tests for the surgery, he slumped over into his son's lap. The drs. were able to revive him & took him into emergency surgery where he again went into cardiac arrest & died. :( He was only 55.
He's been a Godsend to both my parents & me & my son. We've gone to him since he started 30 yrs,. ago!
Please pray for his family, his staff & all his loyal patients as I'm sure all are heartbroken & devastated right now.

Everyone is still understandably shocked & upset. He's been a wonderful guy who's helped alot of people, way beyond just the chiropractic adjustments, so it's been surreal & taking time to process that he's really gone.
Visitation is late tomorrow afternoon but the family has decided on a private family burial. The visitation is from 4-6 & like someone else said, that's not going to be enough time for all the people who are going to pack that funeral home.
Chiropractic care hasn't always been well-received but Dr. Marty was very sincere & caring, gaining utmost respect not only in our community but in our whole state, by patients & even those in the medical field as well. He had a wealth of knowledge but never afraid to say he didn't know everything.
One of the gals that's worked for him, Ann, has been there since the get-go & right after she graduated high school. She's going to be SO lost.
He's been so good to my family & done so much to help us & thousands of others. I know it sounds selfish but I just don't know what we're going to do w/out him. :`(

I will pray ...I never got a chance to get close to a doctor-they seem to move away or transfer far that I no longer can reach them for service and help. This is quite a shocking event.... so sorry
