I used to be an ebay seller but stopped because of all the ebay policies and high shipping costs. I have quite a bit of inventory that I need to sell and would like to try an auction. Most of the items I have are sewing/craft items such as patterns and fabrics.
What are the rules for having an auction on the auction board? How do you know when to add items and such as that? Wjat happens with shipping costs if a priority mail box becomes too small? Do all items have to be new? For example, I have some beautiful vintage childrens' patterns that are used but in great shape. Can these be auctioned as long as the condition of the pattern is given. Any info will be greatly appreciated. 1|1|There are no hard and fast rules really.....you can start an auction and add as you go, or you can list all in the box and then have bids on it as a whole....you add as you want, based on your supply, the highest bid amount, to drum up some bids, etc. You can stop adding when the box you have chosen is filled, or you can go to a larger box and keep adding/accepting bids, but most bidders want to know that is what is being done. So, really, it;'s all a matter of drumming up 'business' :) And yes, you can auction used items, but please be accurate in your description of them so people can determine if that is something they would like and what they are willing to bid for it. :) It's a lot of fun when you get rolling!
