He hasn't been eating very well at all this round of chemo. Granted it's been hot the past few days so I think just about everyone's appetite has been funky, but he's getting a different kind of chemo in this round & it's really diminishing his appetite & making him very, very constipated besides doing a major number on his restless leg syndrome. Clears up his skin cirrhosis really good tho. After today, he'll be off for the summer but will have regular scans every couple wks. to check on the tumors.
Please pray that his appetite increases again & that the tumors stay down w/no new ones during his break from chemo.

My husband went through that when he had chemo and radition they actually put a feeding tube in him to keep his strength up
He now srinks Ensure for his strenght he doesn't have the feeding tube anymore but that did help Hopefully you won't need all this

He did have a feeding tube put in initially when they put in the chemo port, back in Dec. But he'd been doing so well w/eating & gaining weight back that the dr. was more than happy to agree w/my bil about removing the feeding tube at the end of March. He's had to drink 2-3 a day of either Ensure or Boost (he prefers the Boost) but I guess he hasn't been wanting much of that lately either. :( We're hoping that w/this round of chemo coming to a close, his appetite will pick back up.
Strange how it works cuz the 1st round was kind of difficult for him, as far as feeling crappy, but the 2nd round was a little easier & the 3rd round seemed to be a breeze for him. Now this 4th round was a whole different ballpark again & harder on him than even the 1st round. Maybe cuz they used a different kind of chemo (they're using 2 kinds in each treatment) this time.....
