The dr. said that my latest scan looked good, and I am at the point now where everything that is going to shrink/go away has, all that's left is pretty much scar tissue, non-cancerous. <P>So, he gave me the choice: I could continue chemo if I was a worrywart and wanted to make sure those spots that haven't changed in a year really aren't anything, I could just come in every 3 months for a scan to make sure there are no changes or I could do a monthly maintenance drug (non-chemo) that is supposed to prevent tumors from growing. I opted for the maintenance program, at least for now. I will do this for 3 months and get another scan.<P>He reminded me that this cancer tends to come back frequently, so not to freak out or think I made the wrong choice if anything happens. I told him since we've started, he's been telling me things like this takes care of 90%, and I have always been in the minority. So when he says it comes back 80% of the time, I will be that minority again and it WON'T come back.<P>Thanks everybody for all your prayers and support. I am so happy to finally be done with that. <P>Now I just have to "recover". Dr. said it can take almost a year to feel normal again, and I know from before it takes forever for the hair to grow back. It was coming in last year when the chemo I was on didn't cause hair loss, and after 6 months, it was just a little bit of fuzz, not enough to brave being seen without a wig, hat or scarf. <P><BR>Check out my site at <a href="http://suescoupons.webs.com">http://suescoupons.webs.com</a><BR>Thanks, Sue Edelmann<BR>
