I'm sure this is very easy to do but I don't know how.

I want to put a filter on my kids' email so these nasty-type emails won't come through. They aren't looking at anything 'weird' but these ads are coming through, like, 'Buy P**is enhancing med's' and the like, and I don't want them to come through at all, not even to spam. Also is there a way to delete spam box automaticlly on a set schedule, like daily or weekly so the kids won't even have to go into it?

I think it depends on the email you have. Gmail is extremely good about filtering stuff. I rarely get any of those types of emails..they either don't come in or the few that 'slip' thru go right to spam so would suggest they get a Gmail account..it's free.
Now yahoo and hotmail are horrible. No matter what you try to do all that porn/sex stuff and more comes thru I have found so I dumped hotmail a long while back and now only use yahoo for yahoo group type stuff and always forget to check it.
