this is where the use the rooster combs ground up and inject it between the knee joints.I've been thinking of seeing into this it sounds like it wouldn't be as expensive as others and can be done in DR office
my knees hurt all the time and I can hardly walk but no insurance so looking for cheapest way to go for now any remarks would be appreciated Linda

I don't know what the medical name is for them & I just call them "chicken fat" shots. LOL
But it's a series of shots once a week for 3 wks. & as a matter of fact, last week was her 3rd week for them again. It's the 2nd time she's had the set done in her right knee, having had the 1st set done back in Oct. I believe the dr. injects 2 shots each time & it's to alleviate knee pain due to arthritis or the lack of cartilage in the knee, by injecting the lubricant.
They don't take away the pain completely for her but it does help so the pain isn't so bad & so her knee doesn't feel so stiff. Humidity still affects her knees tho.
From what I understand, these types of shots can be done every 6 mos. & are safer than a steroid shot.

plus office call of $133.00 still if it helped for a while, I've had 2 of the cortisone shots in last 6 months and they aren't lasting over a couple of weeks, this getting old is sure not golden painful is more like it Linda
