I am sure that you all will see these pictures on the TV tomorrow - The Today Show, etc. - one reporter said that there were "bodies everywhere" - they have pleas on the TV asking for nurses and doctors - but I-44 (the main highway) is closed due to all of the semi-trucks that were turned over, etc. - so don't know how volunteers will get there.
A nurse was just interviewed and said that they had just 5 minutes warning to get patients away from the windows and into the interior rooms/halls - but one poor man was "sucked" out the 6th floor window - he weighed 300+ pounds!

the severe weather..both flooding and tornadoes. Today and tomorrow have more high chances for severe weather and all this rain will add to those areas already flooding. Seen where Storms are already firing up just west of Joplin and are 'red' which mean bad storms. Feel so bad for all those people.. :( 8|1|Thoughts and prayers going out to those in Joplin, MO! Just received the call about Dennis, my nephew. Please send prayers out for him and his family. From what I was told he was injured at the Home Depot out there when the storm hit, he was then taken to one of the hospitals. Then the hospital was hit by the storm. No one has heard from him since then....... 11|2|Oh my gosh, Debbie.....prayers for Dennis and the family....I cannot imagine how distraught and afraid they are! His wife was headed to Joplin to try & help with the search as well. My heart is going out to not only my family there but as well to everyone else in the Joplin area. You are right about the rescue workers and what they will be facing in the coming days. I can not imagine dealing with this. My friend is still working on clean up from the last big storm, and will be in a rental home for a long time as they rebuild.

There was quite a bit of damage here in a couple cities not too far from me, one in which my son lives. :( He's ok but it's a mess w/alot of downed power lines & trees as well as some pretty extensive damage to several homes/businesses. Emergency personnel had to evacuate a 15 block area after the storm due to a gas leak & the mayor there has declared a state of emergency w/all the damage.
My area was again fortunate & escaped everything but some wind & rain. Whew!
My heart & prayers are w/those who weren't so lucky.
