My mother and best friend has been given a time frame of up to 3 weeks. The nurse said it will likely be less, because she is refusing nutrition at this point. The cancer has spread to the brain pretty badly and she is in horrible condition. We have started her on some Morphine to help with the pain and I'm grateful that she is resting peacefully. The family have all talked with her and those with any issues have expressed to her their apologies. I'm trying to have her moved to Avow Hospice by my house. Closer to us 3 girls, we will visit her often and take care of her in her final days. I am also in the process of getting my brother Tim home from Japan. He's a Marine and he and his family were set to come back in about 22 days to the states for good. I've contacted the Red Cross and they are in the process of getting a message to him to get him home soon. I pray he makes it in time to spend a few moments with her.
Thanks for all the kind words and support. I'm unable to check my emails from the hospital, but will check them when I get home in a few days.

they will be here between 2:30 and 4:30 today. Then she will be in the same town as me and my sister and closer to another sister. It will however pull her further away from my 2 younger brothers and her fiance. But she will be where the people who can take care of her will be.
I expect to have her admitted by tonight.

I really appreciate the kind words. Mom's at hospice and comfortable, but she's still semi-alert and knows what's going on. I'm going to go spend the night with her again. I know she has to be so scared right now. Besides, I'm the one who notices when she wets herself and calls the nurse, etc. I get her quicker care when I'm there. she will pass sometime in the next 1-2 days. I have called the family and told them to start coming down. She's showing all the signs, her skin is turing grey, etc. She is also making a lot of noise, she's not in pain,they just said some people make noise. When I talk to her, she sounds like she's trying to yell at me.... they said that means she knows I'm here and she's probably trying to communicate with me. Ugh! This is so hard. so I told her that she did not need to keep her promise anymore, that it was ok. She could go to be with her father and my dad now. I think she's waiting for my brother and her brothers to get here. She definately was waiting for her mom and sister... opened her eyes when she saw them... and she's sedated heavily and her eyes are glazed over... but she still looked right at them!
