My community has a Founder's Day event each year. It is a street party atmosphere and draws large crowds from neighboring communities. Each year my friend and I have a booth of some sort to raise extra money for our family vacations. This year the theme of our booth is "Crazy Couponers Grocery Giveaway." We have been using our coupons for the past few months building a stockpile for our giveaway. We have purchased items that were only a few cents, free or we were given overage for. Items include food, health & beauty aids and cleaning products. Our idea is to have people guess the actual price that we paid for the items after coupons. The person coming closest wins the stockpile of groceries. If there is a tie, we will draw for the winner. We plan to charge $1 per guess. The stockpile will be on display aa well as info on the retail value.
Here's where we need help. We are not sure of how to word the tickets. If anyone has any ideas, please post them here. Also, she and I are the only ones who know the cost of the irems. Do you think it would be fair for family members - not living in the same household as us - such as moms, sisters, etc. to be allowed to guess? If you have any suggestions or creative ideas for our booth I'd love to hear them. Thanks so much. 1|1|i would say no to family members....|BusterBrown|srfreezerqueen@hotmail.com|10:08:19|05/09/2011|
