I say it's absolutely outrageous where our taxpayer monies are going, including paying Israel millions (or is it billions) every year. I've lost count how many countries we're paying. I say it's time to stop this insanity and start taking care of our own country. We're in deep debt that can never ever be re-paid. We don't even have any money period...the Fed just continues to print as much as they want, the value of our dollar continues to go down. It won't be long before it collapses completely replacing it with another form of currency.

We have a huge loan debt to China. I just don't understand how the government could give the money away to other countries. The government pays interest on the borrowed money. They don't care cuz they're squeezing as much as they can out of us to spend however they want. :( W/the outrageous gas prices, grocery prices, property taxes, no COLA's the last 2 yrs., etc., where do you think all that money is going? Lines their pockets so they can give more of OUR money away. Nice, eh?
Something fishy tho w/Pakistan as that country is/was supposedly one of our allies yet I find it a little hinky that's the very country where Bin Laden had his compound & had been hiding out there for about the last 6 yrs. And now the Pakistani government isn't too happy that they weren't informed beforehand about the raid. Hmmm......

I say that is disgraceful! And that tornado that happen recently has left people homeless and in need, sites are asking for help...food etc, and sitting here wondering where are goverment is in all of this and why is it always the american poor & middle class that have to step up and help. Yeah they want to help that country so they can have a stake in something in return there has to be some underlying reason they are doing it.

There is a lot of speculation about the total our government committed to aiding the people of Haiti... I am not heartless, but we didn't so that much for Katrina and some folks still don't have a permanent home there.
It truly amazes me that they are giving away our future one dollar at a time, and I am sorry to see what this country will be like in another 2 years, or 20 years, if things continue to go down hill do quickly.

and look how that turned out, such a disaster - it was an eye-opening experience for all of us. Like Honey11 says, Americans help Americans in time of need - I absolutely agree! If you live in a close-knit community, neighbors looking out for each-other, help families in need when they lose a job, sickness, etc., it will certainly make our lives so much easier without govt. help. I do not want govt. intruding in my life, tell me what to do, how to live my life, etc., I can take care of myself without their help!! That was horrible what happened and we all watched it unfold. when I watched it on the news I cried for weeks! Our local area held a clothes drive and I had everyone in my household go through their clothes and we donated 4 big boxes to help...a local trucker drove it all down there to help.

I don't live anywhere near Alabama, I don't know anyone in Alabama, and I don't owe Alabama anything at all,
but I do know that it's gotta hurt to lose everything to a tornado. That's why they need our help.
